Inspections are important

  • Would you allow your clients to purchase a property without a thorough structural inspection, electrical and plumbing system inspection or testing of the HVAC equipment? Of course not. So why is the only ACTIVE life saving system within a commercial building not part of a more in depth inspection?

  • Yearly NFPA minimal testing includes a visual inspection of all the exterior piping, control valve test and a pressure test at an inspectors test station at the end of an FP system. While this shows proper functionality of those components and exterior of the piping review it does NOT tell the entire story of the system that can contain 100s to 1000s of feet of piping.

  • truVUE Ultrasonic Testing procedures measure the wall thickness of the FP piping throughout the facility to give an overall story of system health. Reduced wall thicknesses are a sign of internal corrosion which can cause numerous issues within the FP system when called to activate.

  • truVUE services can be looked at similarly to a home inspection service except that we focus on life expectancy of the sprinkler systems instead of all building systems as most inspectors.

Unexpected disruptions cost time (and money)

  • When leasing a space you are putting your trust in the building owner that all systems are going to operate correctly without issues during the term of your lease. What happens when a sprinkler pipe develops a leak, or corrosion causes a burst during an annual pressure test? What happens if that leak occurs over a server room? How much is that down time going to truly cost your company?

  • truVUE Ultrasonic Testing can assist in the creation of a health scorecard for the fire protection system showing the potential lessee., real estate agent and building owner the locations within the system that could be points of concern. Those points can be mitigated using truVUE’s proprietary life predictor algorithm a mitigation plan can be put in place with known replacement schedules.
